Homeschooler Kitchen Life Skills Series

Empower Your Homeschooler with Real-World Kitchen Life Skills

Welcome to our Homeschool Kitchen Life Skills Series—a hands-on, plant-focused culinary course designed specifically for non-traditional and homeschooled students. Hosted right in our commercial kitchen in Lakeland, this bi-monthly program goes far beyond following basic recipes. We combine professional culinary techniques with essential home economics principles to build true independence, confidence, and kitchen safety.

Aligned directly with our Fall culinary curriculum, each monthly module gives students interactive experience using fresh, whole ingredients and professional equipment—from induction cooktops to precision knife work.

What Students Master:

  • Professional Techniques: Safe knife handling, heat zone control, stovetop sautéing, and baking science.
  • Real-World Home Economics: Grocery budgeting, cost-per-serving calculations, pantry meal planning, and reducing food waste.
  • Nutritional Basics: Understanding macro-nutrients and crafting balanced, plant-powered meals from scratch.

Choose between our Morning (10:00 AM) or Afternoon (2:00 PM) Thursday sessions to fit your family's schedule. Spaces are strictly limited to ensure personal, hands-on instruction for every student!
